Coach Popovich Was Asked Whether He Would Support Protests on His Team. His Answer was Brilliant.

San Antonio Spurs Coach, Gregg Popovich weighed in on the current political climate, police brutality and protests of athletes. Per usual, Coach Pop kept it real. He first addressed the ridiculousness of the media asking him to offer solutions to America’s race problem.

When asked whether he would support protests of his players, Popovich said he “respects the courage” of athletes who stand up up against injustice but real change comes through “political pressure”. Popovich acknowledged the disconnect that whites have from the reality of life for black Americans and said people should use critical thinking and be slower to jump on bandwagons.
